Watching the sun rise over my local park I’m reminded of my favourite book by Hemingway. I smile at the thought of spending the rest of Christmas day reading.

Bright flowers and dark earth
On lockdown walks I have enjoyed the changing seasons in London parks, not having a garden like many Londoners, it’s wonderful to see new growth like this well-tended flower bed.
Fast
I’ve been gradually walking small tributaries that flow into the Moness Burn and then into the River Tay. Today saturated ground was semi-frozen, and sculptures sprayed up onto banks.
Christmas Day reflection
A Christmas Day walk in the woods where the sun shone even though it was cold. Time for reflection on this tiny bridge on what a crazy year it’s been.
Solitary Christmas Tree
This is a very sparse Christmas Tree which I was able to capture and I felt that it was suitably symbolic for this project – tall, evocative and solitary.
